The audio quality is poor. It's loud, squashed and dull. Not worth getting this one.
This is a solid reissue of an often overlooked Dylan album. I had another version that was terrible, but this one sounds pretty great to me, given that the original recording wasn't top-notch in terms of quality. The overall feel of this record is fantastic, with each track as engaging as the last, maintaining a consistent mood throughout. If you come across this at a reasonable price, snag it.
While I'm not usually into modern remixes, this 1999 CD is quite impressive. That being said, in my opinion, nothing beats the original mix, which you can find in the "Complete Album Collection Vol. 1" box set. It's a pity that if you want to purchase the CD with the original remastered mix, it's not available as a single CD.
Among my top fav records. Truly one of the all-time greats. That opening song is an absolute masterpiece. The rest? Pure genius, massive tracks. The artwork's fantastic too. It's kinda underrated, though. It really deserves more love. Grab it ASAP. Or, y'know, do what Bob used to...just take it.
The audio quality is much sharper compared to the first release. The original version had a quite muddled sound, but this one is way more clear.
