Zero noise whatsoever on my copy. Absolutely stunning rendition of a highly underappreciated acoustic Dylan record.
Pickin' with his fingers...First time since "Another Side of Bob Dylan" it's just Bob, guitar and harp, and for the first time ever all tracks are covers; there's Blues standards like "Frankie & Johnny", "Sittin' on Top of the World" and "You're Gonna Quit Me" plus more folky/traditional tunes. This is truly so different than anything he'd done in such a long time but that gravely voice and stripped down blues does hint at albums to follow.
This is a remarkably excellent pressing. I'd strongly suggest it for a top-notch system.
This MFSL/MoFi reissue does indeed sound an improvement over the original CD, but it's only a worthwhile purchase if you're a fan of the album and plan to give it a spin regularly.
This was my initial Bob Dylan album, way back in '92. Reflecting on it today, it's a stunning piece of work. The vocals and acoustic playing are truly captivating. My original copy still sounds amazing.
