This MONO record sounds fantastic! I did a quick listen comparing the mono and stereo versions of Mr Tambourine Man and noticed the mono has a deeper bass and fuller sound, with more noticeable reverb (for better or worse?). Apart from that, my mono copy sounds incredible overall.
Dylan plugs in! Complete band, wild, eye-opening! At least on side one. Side two isn't all acoustic, but the music is much more bare-bones. This is a repressing, Discogs currently lists it as from 1972. The record sounds bright and energetic, even if the studio mix is a tad crude. My copy plays smooth and clear, with the occasional faint hiss.
On the second side of my vinyl, the final song has a bunch of distortion. I'm not sure if it's just my copy or what, but has anyone else noticed this issue with their record?
Vinyl that's silent, mastering that's out of this world, sound quality that's top-notch! It's just as fantastic as that new mono box, no doubt about it!
