This is an excellent pressing. The vocals are warm and prominent. The band's sound isn't too heavy on the bass. The LP is a thicker 180g. It's flat and spins perfectly. One of Bob's better albums from the mid to late 80s. Grab a copy if you can. It's quite impressive.
The audio quality is reeeally impressive, so if you spot a copy in decent shape, don't hesitate and snatch it up!
This album is an absolute masterpiece, arguably one of Dylan's finest works in the past four decades. The sound quality of this pressing is nothing short of extraordinary, offering a truly transcendent listening experience. I'm endlessly grateful to MoFi for bringing it to us. Tracks like 'Most of the Time,' 'Long Dark Coat,' and 'Ring Them Bells' are sheer perfection. Dylan's autobiography provides fascinating insights into the album's creation, and I believe it's Daniel Lanois' production that elevates it to such great heights. A genuine treasure!
Spain is where it's made? My one says Made In Australia on the tag.
Mobile Fidelity has truly honored the original sound while boosting dynamics, 'air' around the instruments, a more accurate soundstage, and a significantly improved treble. The bass is phenomenal as well. Having both the SACD and a 1989 European pressing to compare, this version outshines them all. It's my top Dylan album, and now I feel an even stronger bond with it.
