First time spinning this today and was blown away by how fantastic this pressing sounds! Might just pick up a couple more of his recent reissues.
This album sounds quite pleasant. There's a touch of harshness towards the end of side A on my system, but it's not overly bothersome. The vinyl is on the lighter side but doesn't make any noise. I'm curious to see how it stacks up against the newer Abbey Road pressing, though I doubt it'll be significantly better given the price gap.
Roomie and lush blend on dead silent vinyl. Why ain't every record like this?
Really great! It's peaceful, no crackles or pops and with the people behind this release, I had high hopes for the sound quality. It's a wonderful album and the production team did it proud. The sibilance is nice but not overdone…….. Clarity & Depth. As always on this album, when Amazes me starts you pause and savor. I had this on the initial CD release when I was younger, I'll find an original LP of this to see how it compares to this fantastic release.
Among my top picks for Elton's studio work. Every track is a gem, no weak spots, and the sound quality is spot on.
