Received this as a Christmas gift and, as it's the Walmart picture disc version, wasn't sure what to anticipate. But it sounds fantastic!
This is quite well done, though not exceptional. I have the first two Linkin Park 1 steps, also mastered by Levi, and I guess I was anticipating something more groundbreaking. The vinyl quality is excellent, with minimal surface noise and a flat sound. However, the outer sleeve's paper is starting to peel off. In terms of sound, compared to the 1984 Allied pressing, it's less bright and the bass is a bit more noticeable but not overly so. I was a bit let down that they mastered this from 24/192 digital sources, but considering what Warner Bros and Levi did with the Linkin Park albums I bought, it's understandable. Personally, it's very good, but it didn't quite resonate with me as much as the other WB one steps did.
This is a real nice sounding Europe/Germany copy. The audio is fresh and crisp." (Note: "crispy" was changed to "crisp" for correctness, but if you'd prefer to keep the original error, you can use "crispy" instead. Also, "Here we have" was changed to "This is" to vary the phrasing while keeping the casual tone.)
Let me tell ya, that thing is absolutely freakin' awesome.
Wow. this. is. a. hot. album. Stunning sound, Prince's greatest work in my opinion
