  I'm really digging the atmosphere of this Aftershow recording, it truly captures how amazing Prince's live performances were. The only downside is the drums and bass, they sound a bit dull and lost in the mix, which is a shame because they're so crucial and could've made this recording absolutely fantastic!

  Having given it a few listens, here's what I think. On the plus side, the pressing is top-notch, no skips, no pops, just smooth and perfect. The content is amazing, Prince shines even if his studio work from that era wasn't his best. His performance leans more towards jazz-funk with plenty of jamming and improvisation, so don't expect him to play his hits note for note. Prince's talent is all about that free spirit. Pure fun and joy. Now, a couple of downsides: the dynamics aren't as great as the pressing. This means the lower end (bass and drums) is a bit flat and unclear. It's not terrible, but I think the recording might have been done on low-quality digital. Second negative point: the cover. Terrible design, poor picture quality, and a generic shot too. Prince deserves better.

  Unvarying, somewhat forceful. Four sides of sheer funk. Guitar, horns, piano all get their moment. Highly suggest.
