While I wouldn't label myself as a die-hard Dylan fan, despite owning nearly every album he's released, this one stands out as a personal favorite. It's incredibly personal and feels like a live performance, right down to the iconic sound of cuff links tapping the pick guard. I'd definitely give it a strong recommendation.

I really wanted to praise this album, but it's full of pops and clicks, and even after a thorough cleaning, it's still not great. Plus, there's no label on Side 1. The tracks are fantastic, Bob, but I'm let down by the lack of dynamics and the noisy pressing. I think I got a defective copy.

The record I've got was mastered by Ryan K. Smith over at Sterling and pressed by MPO France. I'm not certain if every US copy of this album went through the same process. It's a pretty quiet pressing, no major problems with harshness or inner groove distortion. The sound is absolutely fantastic, like you're right there in the studio with Bob. I didn't think the vinyl version would blow me away this much. Job well done.
