MOFI's version of this album is absolutely fantastic. Dylan goes back to his roots here, and the sound is so clear. It's just simple, subtle brilliance.
John Wesley Harding is a solid Bob Dylan album, though it's a bit surprising as a follow-up to Blonde on Blonde. You can really hear the country roots in this one. It might seem like a regression for Dylan, but it's more like a detour. Still, it's a strong record, with Dylan diving even further into this sound on the next Nashville Skyline (his first truly polarizing album). A couple of tracks here are pure Dylan, particularly "All Along The Watchtower.

First Dylan record I ever played, and I gotta say, it's right up there with my all-time faves. Every track is a banger, but 'The Ballad Of Frankie Lee And Judas Priest'? Absolute masterpiece. The quality's top-notch too, mine was as flimsy as hell, thought it'd warp for sure, but nah, not a single warp and barely any surface noise.
Among the best Dylan MoFi SACDs out there. It totally surpasses all earlier releases. This is exactly how it was meant to sound.
