Though lots of people seem to dislike this album, I'm one of the few who feel differently. I reckon it's a solid addition to any Bob Dylan fan's collection, with mostly covers that are worth a spin. Tracks like “Ballad of Ira Hayes” & “Can’t Help Falling in Love” give you a vibe of Dylan just enjoying himself, singing tunes he loves. Sure, it ain't one of his top albums, but it's worth giving another chance to those who didn't like it at first.
Toss out the album cover and insert this disc as track 3 of Self Portrait, since that's essentially what this record is. Bobby wasn't too thrilled about this one either.
I'm absolutely in love with this album. Even if Columbia put it out as a spiteful release, it's got a fantastic groove and my copy sounds incredible! The artwork is freaking phenomenal!
Bafflingly poor set of cover songs. Dylan attempts karaoke. It's like he's trying to drive away his fans intentionally.
This album is fantastic. I couldn't care less about what happened before it came out, it's still fantastic. The quality of the pressing is good too.
