Awful sound blend. In my version, the audio is terribly dull: there's no bass whatsoever! Even cranking it up full blast on the equalizer only gave a tiny bit of improvement.
Man, my version sounds awesome. Solid pressing, nice packaging, and it's got me thinking that this might not be my least favorite Beatles album after all.
Quality is awful. Might be alright to own, but it's certainly not for enjoying music.
It seems like this is a 2019 pressing taken from the 2009 digital remaster. The sound is more vibrant and clearer compared to the old US Apple gatefold version I owned previously. I bought my copy new, and it required a quick wipe before I could play it.
In my opinion, the sound quality of my copy is quite impressive, contrary to what some others have mentioned. I picked it up for around £60 at my local HMV, and for that price, I reckon it's a fantastic deal. With 4 LPs, a twelve-inch EP, and a hardback book, it's hands down the best Beatles box set out there... even though Let It Be isn't my top album, this collection somehow makes it shine.
