Absolutely amazing, every Beatles enthusiast needs this edition. Peter Cobbin's mixing is brilliant and the Beatles have never sounded this good in Stereo. If you can snag it for $30, it's an incredible deal and a must-own. I put it up against the HÖR ZU MMT and the 2014 Mono Masters LPs, and it's just as good, if not even better.
The mixes on these tracks often sound weak, lacking vitality. It's overly sterile, not mastered like typical rock records. However, some vocals are absolutely stunning, and the definitive take of "Only a Northern Song" is here, a significant upgrade from the mono version and the sole genuine stereo rendition. All the "Yellow Submarine" mixes here outshine the original stereos, though that's likely because they were terrible. "Eleanor Rigby" also sounds fantastic, but it was improved upon in 2015 and 2022. I do appreciate the cover art, though.
After reading all the hype and buzz around this, I had my expectations set sky-high. But let me tell you, after giving it a spin five times, I'm thrilled to report that it's blown every single one of them away. Absolutely mind-blowing. Don't miss out, grab it now.
Incredible! Absolutely Amazing. Don't even try to compare this to the Hor Zu MMT album as “12StringBlues” mentioned here, and comparing it to Mono Masters (specially with a good mono cartridge) is just ridicules, since this is Stereo. But still this is Fantastic on its own right. Vinyl is super quiet. Bass hits hard! Mids and highs are smooth with a wide soundstage and great instrument separation. If you come across this record… just grab it! You won’t be let down
This is a really great pressing, no noise whatsoever and it sounds fantastic. I'd absolutely suggest getting a copy.
