I've got this version, but on the label it's written “Bovema” rather than “Made in Holland”. I can't find this detail in the Discogs listing, does anyone have more info? The sleeve is the original UK mono edition by Garrod & Lofthouse.
Similar to the other Colombian releases, this album has a very poor sound quality with fake mono recordings, but it's even worse because it plays a bit too quick, and 'Can't Buy Me Love' is swapped with 'Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand', which I guess was an effort to blend AHDN with Capitol's 'Something New'. Still quite interesting, but a bit disappointing.
I've gone through all the stereo EAS Beatles reissues, and while I see why some folks aren't thrilled about them on those audiophile sites, I've got to say, this A Hard Day’s Night is a real gem. It's not one of those let-downs you might expect. The sound is fantastic—crisp, spacious, and not too harsh. The quality of the pressing is top-notch, just like you'd expect from a Japanese release, with barely any noise. Out of the EAS series, this one's a standout for its pristine sound and flawless pressing. You can easily snag a copy in great shape, complete with obi and all. The artwork and print quality are spot-on too.
Absolutely fantastic album and record pressing, highly suggest it, even a vg version sounds amazing and the tracks, especially on side one, are flawless
