Pay attention to the distinct markers of this edition. It features the original HR logo on the back and CD, while the booklet's back showcases a later (though not the most recent) HR logo. I purchased mine brand new in early 2004, so that's a solid clue about when this version was circulated. The sound quality is fantastic, in my opinion. Although not mentioned earlier, this particular release was remastered by Kevin Metcalfe, Queen's go-to mastering engineer for years. As much as I appreciate Susan Rogers' work with Prince, her remix here is quite amusing. She simply layers a modified drum loop over the entire original track. Then again, most of the 1991 remixes were either hilarious or unnecessary.

I recently acquired this edition of Hot Space, which, in my opinion, is Queen's least impressive album. But for a dedicated fan, it's definitely worth having. Discs 01 and 02 (CDs), aside from the original album, feature some great B-sides and demos of almost every track. Disc 03 (DVD) includes all the music videos and some fantastic live performances from that era (like Under Pressure live on Saturday Night Live). Just keep in mind that these videos have never been upgraded to full HD, so the video quality is just okay. The highlight of the DVD, though, is the 5.1 mix, which really blew me away.
