Fantastic package (that massive poster really should be framed!). The remix version's audio quality is way superior to the remastered one. The vocals and drums sound incredible here. All in all, an excellent collection with top-notch sound (that remix) - just remember, it's a live album (never heard the original version, so can't compare). I disagree with others about any compression problems, a must-have for any Sabbath or metal enthusiast.System:Rega P6Rega AethosQ Acoustics concept 300

Does anyone happen to know which year this repress was released? I've been looking around but haven't been able to find any info. Thanks!
After finally getting around to opening this 40th anniversary double LP, I must say I'm absolutely amazed. I've had a Japanese pressing for a while now, and I always thought the recordings couldn't sound any better—until I gave this edition a spin. As expected, this "super deluxe" box set is packed with all sorts of Dio-era Sabbath extras: a poster, a book, and I think a tour booklet too. It's enough to make someone my age miss the days when there were actually great metal bands and shows that truly impressed fans, instead of the boring acts and overpriced tickets we have now. I always clean new albums after opening them and usually swap out the factory sleeve for a MOFI one to avoid transferring any contaminants back onto the freshly cleaned LP. After cleaning and listening to both records, I was greeted with perfect sound quality—no pops or surface noise at all. Here's my setup: 1967 SL1200 Mk2 with an Ortofon Om cartridge, Harmon/Kardon HK6350R, and Cerwin Vega VS-80 "bookshelves" and VS-120 floor speakers.
Incredible album, definitely one of the top picks in my collection. Ronnie James Dio's voice is absolutely flawless and blends perfectly with Sabbath's music. It's a real shame Vinny had to get so worked up! I wish they could've kept this going.
