Absolutely cozy audio! I'm obsessed with the blue cassette hue, it's like the blue of the mountains behind me!
The initial pressing of this record is head and shoulders above any subsequent pressings, with even the DCC version coming in a close second. However, if you manage to find a VG+ to NM copy of this first pressing, don't hesitate to snatch it up! It's masterfully recorded and greatly benefits from Bernie Grundman's mastering from the original master tapes. Keep in mind that vinyl from the early 70s can be a bit hissy, so some background noise is to be expected regardless of the condition. But rest assured, it's only really noticeable between tracks.
Exceptional quality pressing. Stunningly beautiful. Hardly ever come across something like this. Kudos to Rhino!
The turquoise 'Made in Germany' edition is a significant upgrade from my green 'Made in the USA' one. It's quieter and has a more appealing vinyl color. I'm absolutely in love with this version!
Joni Mitchell's piano work truly shines on this particular pressing. The tracks, infused with jazz elements, include appearances by the likes of David Crosby and even Cheech & Chong. The cover is beautifully embossed, complete with lyrics and a striking block print of Joni Mitchell's face on the inner gatefold. My copy has the original runout numbers crossed out with xxx's, and on the first side, it reads: 7E 1001 A2 CTH.
