It's one of those 8-track tapes with truly exceptional sound and spatialization.
Translated automatically,Outstanding. I possess more than five versions of this album (MOFI, Rhino Hi-Fi, and a few pristine early/originals in mono and stereo). Nothing else comes close to this Mono Monarch Other. I'm excited to listen to the Stereo Monarch Other, as my research didn't clearly indicate which one is superior. I decided to go with the mono version - it surpasses my already very high expectations.
Folks must have average equipment coz this sounds awesome on mine π
Grabbed this for a bargain since I don't own a stereo version, and I'm happy it didn't cost much. Yeah, the sound quality's just okay, weak on the bass and doesn't pack a punch on the highs. I'm sure there are stereo versions that sound fantastic, but this one's not among them. [Tech specs in my profile]
The audio quality is fantastic and seems to employ the same mastering process as the EU 2021 re-release by Bernie Grundman.
