Recorded in 1966 at the iconic London Fog club, this 32-minute collection of tracks is a testament to the band's mesmerising stage presence. • Disappointing Doors Release

    2 out of 5 stars
    OxsouzanOctober 31, 2025United States🇺🇸

In my view, this release isn't worth the price, and that's coming from someone who's been a massive Doors fan all their life. It's kinda neat to listen to an early gig, but it's pretty dull and uninspiring. The extras are mostly useless, except for the photos. I don't need a copy of a London Fog coaster or a crumpled set list. If this was released on a 10-inch or CD for $10 or $15, it'd be worth it. But with a $50 price tag, it's way too much for the musical value you get.

This release is fantastic! It cost a pretty penny and is a bit of a fetish item, but after hearing it, I'd say it was money well spent.

This is an awesome release. It cost a lot and is a bit of a fetish item, but after hearing it, the money was well spent.

Is there anyone who has an early copy of this version?

In my view, this release isn't worth the cash, and that's saying something as a massive, lifelong Doors fan. Sure, it's neat to listen to an early gig, but it's pretty dull and unexciting. The extras are mostly useless too, except for the photos. I don't need a London Fog coaster or a crumpled set list. If this was out on 10 inch or CD for 10 or 15 bucks, it'd be worth it. But with a 50 dollar price tag, it's way too much for what you're getting musically.

About The Doors

The Doors, formed in Los Angeles in 1965, are an iconic American rock band that left an indelible mark on the 1960s counterculture. Comprising vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore, the band is celebrated for their unique blend of psychedelic rock, classic rock, and acid rock. Morrison's powerful vocals and poetic lyrics, coupled with Manzarek's distinctive keyboard riffs, Krieger's inventive guitar work, and Densmore's dynamic drumming, created a sound that was both innovative and timeless. Their discography includes timeless tracks like "L.A. Woman," "Riders on the Storm," and "Light My Fire," which continue to captivate audiences today. The Doors' legacy is not just about their music; it's also about their influence on the cultural landscape of the era, making them one of the most influential and controversial rock acts of the 1960s.
