I'm thrilled with every archival release of The Doors, and I'm continually amazed at how excellent they sound. Thanks a bunch! I genuinely enjoy all these albums and love revisiting them. The pressing quality is superb, the records are flat, and they play smoothly, with hardly any distortion except for a few rare clicks. The sound is incredible given the source material. Of course, the recording has its limitations, but it's not so intrusive that it takes away from the content. The bass is perfect, individual instruments and vocals sound great, and I also appreciate the space in the recording. The fold-over cover is very nice, though I personally prefer a practical pocket. But it's well-made and high quality. I'm extremely satisfied, and it's clear that GZ knows what they're doing. I highly recommend it. Incredibile! Tre vinili blu stupendi, completamente piatti, un suono fantastico! Ogni appassionato dei Doors dovrebbe possederlo nella sua collezione.
I'm truly torn about this album; while 3 out of the 4 tracks are recorded phenomenally, the vocals often get distorted when the microphone gets overloaded. Still, if you can find it at a reasonable price ($46USD, which is what I paid at my local record store in Ontario) - don't think twice. This is my first live Doors album, and I reckon it's nothing short of a holy grail because of its historical significance.
This LP sounds incredible! I vividly recall watching the VHS of this concert, but the audio was awful. However, they've done a fantastic job remastering it for vinyl. I've got most of The Doors' live albums, and now this is my top pick, right alongside Live @ The Hollywood Bowl '68.
Yet again, The Doors have delivered a fantastic live album, knocking it out of the park. The sound quality is top-notch most of the time, and even when it's not, it's still pretty decent. The mastering is superb, and the packaging is fantastic (except for the plain paper sleeves for the LPs). The band's performance is among their best, showcasing them at their live peak. Plus, the diverse setlist is a highlight, featuring live renditions of some rare tracks.
We don't have a live price right now, but stock fluctuates daily. You can check for hidden stock on Amazon directly, or let us alert you as soon as it is available.
