This release is absolutely amazing (espetacular), fantastic work! The audio quality is top-notch.
I'm blown away by how quiet this pressing is...and the audio...crisp, expansive, full of life...gentle on the highs and precise on the lows...'Amazing' doesn't even cover it. And hey, the album itself is pretty incredible too ;)
Lou's put out some great albums, but this one's right up there with the best. The sound quality on this version is top-notch β the bass hits hard and everything's crystal clear. Definitely worth picking up!
In my opinion, "The Blue Mask" stands among Lou's greatest solo albums. Lou always cared deeply about the listening experience his records provided (with the possible exception of "Metal Machine Music"), and this album is one of those sonically impressive ones, even specifying which guitar is in which channel. The tracks here are some of Lou's finest work. I'd suggest giving this record a spin with headphones for the complete experience.
