Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Tracks 6, 7, and 12 aren't my cup of teaπ, but every other song, not so well-known back then, is wonderfully made and played. Elvis pours his heart into every note! The first track was a hit abroad for the 'revived' pop king.
Picked this up in Jan 2021, slipped my mind to review it. This pressing sounds incredibly clear and immediate. There's a slight touch of static, but it's not bothersome at all. Every track is super musical, with vocals upfront and excellent stereo imaging and detail.
I've got this reissue, and it's got the I stamp for Indianapolis, but it's missing the GOL A hand etch. The A1 is there, and there's also a 1MM etch on side A. The original sleeve tipped me off that it was a repress because it listed Elvis' LPs after 1971.
Warning! The quality is outstanding, possibly the finest reissue ever, BUT You Donβt Have To Say You Love Me is clearly slowed down.
Absolutely amazing collection from FTD! I'd definitely suggest it to any Elvis enthusiast.
