Sound quality is fantastic, vinyl is clean and quiet, The mix and mastering are top-notch, detailed really well, mids are great, with warmth and a solid bottom end to tie it all together.
This is an absolutely phenomenal album. The cover art is stunning and exudes high quality. The vinyl pressing is top-notch too: no noise, deep sound, and an ideal blend of Elvisβ vocals and the music. The song choices seem meticulously picked, making this a joy to listen to beginning to end. Some folks arenβt always keen on Matt Ross-Spang, but I reckon heβs knocked it out of the park again here. Iβve been an Elvis enthusiast for nearly half a century and know these tunes like the back of my hand, yet his mixes still manage to astonish me. A definite must-own for any Elvis devotee.
The audio quality on this version is truly impressive. It's got a rich, full sound with a solid low end. I'm also a fan of the new mixes. Plus, the songs themselves are absolutely gorgeous. And the pressing is top-notch as well.
Discs 1 & 2 have some decent remixes, not exactly earth-shattering but fans of Elvis' 70s TCB band will likely appreciate them. The rehearsal tracks, though, are quite rough in terms of sound quality, even when compared to other releases from the same sources. The artwork, including many of the photos in the booklet, has been clearly and poorly upscaled with AI tools, giving it a weird, waxy look that's quite distracting. If you're the type to collect everything Elvis, you might be okay with these issues, but for those with a more critical eye, your money might be better spent on something else.
