This was their final album prior to going back to relying on their past successes. They certainly went out with a bang! Barring a couple of tracks, it's a lovely, soft record that sounds fantastic on this re-release.

Despite what the not-so-great reviews might lead you to believe, I genuinely like this album. It's packed with some really pleasant tracks. Sure, it's not Pet Sounds, and it's not even on the level of Holland or Surf's Up. But, it's still a enjoyable listen and definitely worth owning.
While this album might not rank among their finest, it's unfairly maligned—perhaps partly due to the disco rendition of “Here Comes the Night,” which can be safely skipped as the opener on side two. That aside, Dennis and Carl deliver some gems, notably “Angel Come Home” and “Love Surrounds Me.” There's genuinely stunning music here, though not every track hits the mark. All in all, it's an album worth adding to your collection, particularly for Beach Boys enthusiasts. Carl's “Full Sail” is utterly peaceful. As for the sound quality and dynamics, it's top-notch—it sounds fantastic!
