Product description

Released on 1 February 1965, John Coltrane's seminal album 'A Love Supreme' is a masterclass in spiritual jazz. This 32-minute, four-part suite is a deeply personal and emotional and exploration of sound, taking listeners on a profound journey through the realms of jazz.

The album is divided into four parts: 'Acknowledgement', 'Resolution', 'Pursuance', and 'Psalm', each one a testament to Coltrane's innovative and expressive approach to his craft. Blending elements of hard bop, free jazz, bebop, cool jazz, and jazz blues, 'A Love Supreme' is a genre-defying work that showcases Coltrane's remarkable skill and artistry.

Through his saxophone, Coltrane conveys a sense of intense passion and devotion, creating a sense of intimacy and connection with the listener. The result is an album that is both deeply contemplative and profoundly uplifting, a true classic of jazz that continues to inspire and influence musicians to this day. 'A Love Supreme' is a landmark recording that showcases John Coltrane's unique vision and talent, and its impact can still be felt in the world of jazz and beyond.

This 2025 Limited Edition Reissue 60th Anniversary Edition LP is housed in a gatefold, pressed on Clear vinyl.

  • Crisp, Hiss-Free Record

Fantastic sounding record and print. All tracks are crisp, hardly any hiss.

  • Vinyl Sounds Great

    5 out of 5 stars
    mupydasiDecember 28, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This one sounds even better than my more recent copies. It's right up there with the ones from the 70s that I've listened to. Still, it can't quite match up to my analog versions.

  • Disappointing Dirty Pressing

    2 out of 5 stars
    oxmaul49December 26, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This pressing is awful, filled with pops and background noise. It's really dirty and dusty. Side one is all warped. Coltrane's amazing album doesn't deserve this; it should be completely clean. I'm searching for a better version.

  • Boom in Silent Masterpiece

    5 out of 5 stars
    HeagL82December 25, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

There was a quite loud boom around the 20-second mark in Acknowledgement, but I couldn't be bothered because the rest of the track is utterly silent and sounds amazing. I'm one content owner :D

  • Coltrane's Sound Worth More

    5 out of 5 stars
    4dhFqdewlGPDecember 21, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Coltrane and the engineer delivered phenomenal sound, and Walmart made it happen. Couldn't be happier. It's absolutely worth way more than the 15 bucks I spent.
