Sound is quite nice. It lends the album an airy, dreamlike quality compared to other renditions I've listened to - though my version has a decent amount of hiss and static
a tad on the quiet side but it's awesome when you crank it up. bummer it ain't a gatefold. still sounds awesome tho
Honestly, I can't wrap my head around the criticism this album's getting. If you're a fan of The Beach Boys, you'll absolutely adore this one. It's an awesome album from start to finish and seriously underappreciated in their collection. Packed with fantastic pop and rock tunes, it's a mix of Smile Sessions tracks and brand new songs. "Time to Get Alone" might just be one of their best post-Pet Sounds tracks, and the rest of the album is stuffed with hidden treasures. The covers are insane as hell. Give it a spin on a road trip with the volume cranked up, and I reckon you'll get it a bit more. This album straight-up rocks, man, I'm obsessed with it.
