This is an absolutely fantastic release, with an amazing cover, top-notch mastering, and pressing. I suppose I'm fortunate, but my copy is usually quite clean and quiet. Apart from a couple of brief clicks, it plays beautifully. And even with the length of the sides, I didn't notice any distortion or harshness. Sure, it might be a tad pricey, but in my opinion, it's a valuable reissue and the superb sound quality transports you right back to the Hammersmith Odeon in 1973. The added intro, outro, and Jeff Beck's contributions are particularly noteworthy. I'm thrilled to have this in my collection.
Awesome live album with a raw, authentic sound. Excellent collection of tracks. I'd definitely suggest picking it up.
Fortunately, all four edges of my version are smooth and hushed. It's not the noisiest pressing out there and seems much quieter than the 2003 EMI – 7243 5 41979 1 8 red edition. It's great having the bonus content, but it might've been better spread over 3 discs. I'm glad I pre-ordered this at £34, as it's now around £50! ‘God did sure mess with my logic.’
Mine, which I purchased way back in 2003, is number 1575! Giving it a spin right now, it sounds fantastic. The audio is crisp and full of life. I reckon the vinyl beats the murky DVD visuals any day.
Its kinda crazy how this isn't getting more attention! The acting is absolutely amazing - it's like you're right there in the action with him. Plus, the audio is just fantastic.
