The instruments and Axl's vocals seem a bit too loud and sharp at times. Plus, the highs appear to be more prominent on the left side. I've tried it on various setups and with different headphones. All in all, it's not as enjoyable as the AudioCD.
This 1991 German release boasts an incredible sound. It's so vibrant, punchy, clear, open, and crisp.
Since the original analogue tapes were lost in the Universal fire back in 2008, this is as good as it's gonna get for us. And it’s a brilliant pressing too, kudos to Optimal for a job well done. Pay no mind to the critics and just enjoy!!
Grabbed these for 14€90 years old each, during the Christmas sales. They sound amazingly clear! 30€ for the 1 & 2 brand new and still sealed, what a steal. Fantastic quality!
Day and night contrast compared to the 08 Geffen. Barely any surface noise. It's a tad muddy on the highs occassionally, but apart from that, it sounds fantastic.
