Count myself fortunate, I do. My copy's fantastic. Peaceful, spotless, and bright. Just like the original, it's timeless. Really chuffed with this one.
What an absolutely gorgeous album, marking the start of Cocteau Twins' journey into dream pop. It's a real bummer that the quality of this pressing is so poor. The intricate, layered melodies sound surprisingly dull and muffled in this version. Fantastic album, shame about the pressing.
Never has album artwork matched its content as perfectly as Treasure: with angelic voices enveloping the listener, song titles like Lorelei, Persephone, Pandora, and an album name that isn't overstated in the slightest.
Seems unreal, right? Crack open this jewel case and you'll be utterly captivated! (CAUTION: this CD features otherworldly lyrics that you'll either adore or despise, as noted by dexterfeng, so keep in mind that this is just my personal take ;)
This is a very pleasant track, though it may not appeal to all.The recording (mastering and sound quality) on the CD is quite disapointing. It comes across as lifeless and boring when played on a top-notch audio setup.
Stumbled upon this gem in Athens totally by chance. Seems like only a handful were made back then by a local fan of the 4AD vibe. The pressing was done with real attention to detail, you can tell. It definitely outshines the newer version I've got.
