While I usually prefer analogue recordings, this one is quite pleasant. The quality of the pressing and artwork is excellent, and it's a budget-friendly option compared to an original copy.
to whoever just took off the categorizing-of-style tag from this release ... thanks a ton I get that people usually mean well, but it can be super irritating to witness folks trying to "box in" works that once stood on their own and drew in people who often engaged a different part of their mind than the part that always needs things laid out for them to understand and appreciate work .... unfortunately, the people who show up last to any scene often bring all this extra stuff that wasn't there for years ... and sometimes even decades ... after works were made and put out
I got a nice copy that I gave a thorough cleaning before playing, and it sounded fantastic with hardly any surface noise. The bass is really punchy and the overall sound is great, plus it came with a download card.
Well, well, well... looks like the style category has made a comeback... how nice! Now we can all rest easy knowing it's been neatly tucked away and we have a clear path to follow before the music hits our ears. Wouldn't want listening to music to be too confusing or demanding, now would we? :)
This is an absolute gem, spotless, fantastic sound, and a top-notch sleeve, really impressed, will definitely grab Victorialand based on this. Lucky to have the original, so I gave them a side-by-side listen, blending the old with the new. The new version, while not as booming, still sounds fantastic, just a tiny difference in volume. For me, it lacked that raw edge of the original, but hey, it's been remastered and it's brilliant... It was a blast mixing them together, wish I'd thought of it during my gigs. Liz's vocals layering over each other sounded phenomenal... Have a blast... I certainly did! 👍😊
