Seeing all the issues posted here, I gave mine a spin last night, and it worked flawlessly, no pops or skips, clearly not all records are like that, any thoughts on how many were pressed for this one?
I've had a rough experience with two copies of this release. The first one was brand new and still in its seal, but Side A had a "hole" right at the start of the first track. I attempted to fix it, but I only made the issue more severe. The second copy I purchased was used and described as near mint, but it has scratches on Side A (though you can only spot them between songs). However, the scratches on Side B are quite noticeable during the last two tracks. I'll hold onto the second copy, but I'm let down by the overall quality control of this pressing.
The vinyl for Milk & Kisses is way superior to Four-Calendar Café when it comes to the quality of the records.
Extremely hot pressing, EQ is needed to adjust the sibilance. Apart from that, great pressing/packaging.
Absolutely fantastic, this version has so much more richness and beats the CD version in every way. No hiss, no crackle, it's a real shame it doesn't include half-gits and rilkean heart in the “Twinlights” tracks. They were pricey LPs to ship all the way to Mexico (along with Four Calendar Café) but Abbey Road did an amazing job, even if colored vinyls should be steered clear of, especially white! (I've had awful luck with white vynil). I just can't figure out why it doesn't feature the songs @quiggpqau mentioned in their review below, there was plenty of room to add them on.
