Spinning on my turntable right now. Over the moon to finally have this on vinyl. The sound is incredibly flat, the background is super quiet, and the dynamics are spot on... this record truly sounds fantastic! It's more of a fruity, punch-colored hue than straight-up red, but it's unique and looks cool. This LP features the absolute BEST side one in Billy Joel's whole catalog. So many artists kick things off strong but lose steam later on, but this is an INCREDIBLE album for number 11! Billy is as fantastic as he's ever been on this one. I'd absolutely recommend this to even casual fans of Billy Joel.

And this album was yet another fantastic display of his skill in creating timeless rock anthems. It's no surprise that his fellow Americans 🇺🇸 once again propelled his still-mesmerizing collection to the top spot on the Billboard (5) 200 chart back then. They knew it then, and they know it now, exactly what they had in him—a genuine American icon 🙏🏼.Their admiration for this extraordinary composer and performer is immeasurable. Billy Joel has taken the stage at Madison Square Garden an astonishing 150 (!!!) times, and every single show was a sell-out. His residency at Madison Square Garden commenced in January 2014 and concluded on July 25, 2024, setting a record for the most performances at the venue. WOW! Taylor Swift try to beat that! 😂.Anyway, IMHO, though, this masterpiece of an album still doesn't get the recognition it deserves outside the US 🇺🇸. It would also be an excellent choice for a Original Master Recording treatment and a subsequent Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab audiophile release 😊👍👍.
