My well-worn copy had some hiss too. I sent it through the Kirmuss machine and it really improved it. Still not flawless, but the sound is fantastic now. Made a huge difference. I suppose I've got the usual amount of crackle now. Amazing record. Crank it up to feel the full impact. Awesome record. I'm in love with it. Happy to own an early UK pressing.
I stumbled upon this for just 9 euros at a second-hand shop, inserts and everything, and figured, why not give it a shot. Turns out, it was a great call! The sound quality is amazingly balanced - not too harsh, not too muffled, yet it genuinely captures the essence of The Who's live performances. I'd definitely recommend picking up this pressing.
This is certainly one of the top live rock albums out there. The German reissue's audio quality is impressive. I'd love an even wider soundstage, but perhaps that might affect the balance? Still, everything here is spot on.
Great bundle. It's truly a steal for the expanded Leeds performance, featuring the whole of Tommy. The audio and packaging are top-notch, with a satisfyingly hefty vinyl. A must-have for any album enthusiast.
This one's not bad, but I'd suggest grabbing the CD version too, as it's got the whole concert on it and goes well with this release.
