Honestly, Basement Jaxx, honestly. I'm truly let down. I'll confess, none of their records have been flawless; the nearest they've come, as far as I'm concerned, was Scars with its focus on African influences. What I've always adored about Basement Jaxx was how intricate and brimming with sounds and beats their albums were. This one's as generic, plain, and uninspired as a house album can be. The only two halfway decent tracks are the ones they chose to put at the end. What a disappointing record...
I'm confused about the track order on this one. I've got another copy right here, and it's got these songs in this order:A) Intro, Power to The People, We Are Not Alone, BuffaloB) Never Say Never, Unicorn, Rock This RoadC) What's The News, Summer Dem, Sneakin' TorontoD) Mermaid of Salinas, Love Is At Your Side, Something About YouI'm listening to the CD as we speak, and it looks like my copy's got some mistakes in the track listing.
