Fantastic sequel album that I've been spinning on my turntables countless times over the years, and I'll keep on doing so for many more years ahead.
This is one of the finest pressings I've come across recently. The clarity is exceptional, the bass hits just right, and it feels tailor-made for mixing. The songs even have intros not found on the original versions, making it a unique listen. I'd definitely recommend it.
It's been ages since I got this perfect press, not a single wobble in the spin. Dead quiet, the record's hue is spot on. a++
rooty" takes "remedy" and cranks up the P-funk vibe. Those first five tracks? Spot on. They nail that house and dnb blend with a P-funk twist, and they're just plain good tunes. But then, things start to slide. The beats and samples get a bit lost, and they can't quite find their way back. By the end, you might feel let down. Still, there's promise here.
Apart from the singles Romeo, Jus 1 Kiss, Where's Your Head At, and Do Your Thing, which are amazing and instantly recognizable, the rest of the album didn't quite hit the mark for me, with pretty average tracks filling out the rest of the album.
