The sound quality and dynamics on this vinyl pressing are truly breathtaking. The person who handled the mix for this release clearly put in a tremendous amount of effort and dedication.
Depeche Mode's initial outstanding album that, alongside Music For The Masses and Violator, are the most gorgeous and most significant albums, to me.
I'm with you on this one. This is, hands down, DM's top album. Most tracks wouldn't necessarily shine as singles (maybe "A Question of Lust" could be an exception), but when you listen to the whole thing, it's a masterpiece. Just a heads up, "A Question of Time" was messed up in the mastering on all US and CA versions, no matter the format. The intro plays twice.
This pressing is absolutely fantastic. It's flat, perfectly centered, and has no noise at all. You won't hear a peep of surface noise here. The dynamics are great too. Honestly, though, I'm not shocked it's this good since it's made from MOV stampers, which are always top-notch. It's definitely worth every cent.
This is an absolute work of art when it comes to the music and the sound quality. The 5.1 on SACD and DTS 96/24 on DVD both sound amazing. I'd definitely recommend this.
