  • Vinyl Quality Varied

    4 out of 5 stars
    JwehyutiwzwiozApril 25, 2025United States🇺🇸

The grooves/backing on my vinyl records align with the second batch mentioned here. But my jacket's rear side is a bit distinct and resembles some of the newer versions... makes me wonder if someone swapped the records at some point. Either way, "My Generation" sounds fantastic. "Magic Bus" is just okay, to be honest.

  • Magic Bus: Inconsistent Follow-Up

    4 out of 5 stars
    GfSiwiuNovember 6, 2024United States🇺🇸

The tunes are awesome, even though MAGIC BUS feels like a rushed, low-budget follow-up. This version is decent at best. MY GENERATION holds up pretty well, but MAGIC BUS has a few tracks that are downright painful, particularly "Disguises". My copy spins clean and clear, with hardly any hiss or pops on either side.

  • Mediocre "My Generation" Set

    3 out of 5 stars
    Ayeg_UFebruary 22, 2024United States🇺🇸

I've only come across these two albums together in this 2fer set. "My Generation" is a groundbreaking album, but the quality here is just alright—you can find better versions out there. As for "Magic Bus," the sound quality is downright awful! It's a good thing this is the least popular of their first four American albums, so it's not a huge issue. But let's be real, whoever put this "Deluxe Set" together didn't care about the sound at all. It's clearly a budget release with no thought given to audio quality. 5 stars for "My Generation"; 3 stars for "Magic Bus"; and 1 star for this terrible combo package.

  • Sharp Sound Quality Issues

    3 out of 5 stars
    ZazHunbtojfFebruary 19, 2024United States🇺🇸

Was this a bad record press or just my bad luck? The sound was way too sharp and hurt my ears.
