The audio quality is quite pleasant, not unpleasant, though it seems the remastering has raised the vocal tones and reduced the instrument noise, giving it a very "ethereal" feel. It's not bad, but it might have lost some of the original's rawness.
INCREDIBLE! This remaster is absolutely stunning. The sound quality is truly impressive, with no loss in dynamics. My copy has a bit of surface noise, but it's hardly noticeable, so it's not a big issue. I got goosebumps listening to Suspended In Gaffa, just like it was the first time I heard this Kate Bush masterpiece. I also grabbed the second part of the remastered boxset, and Hounds of Love sounds fantastic too, although the bass is slightly dialed back on that one. This pressing of The Dreaming is almost flawless.
This Kate Bush album is either the best one or ties with Hounds. My Canadian copy had too much bass, so I sold it and later found this one for around 1000 yen in a Fukuoka shop. The sound quality is much improved.
Among the top pressings in my collection, spotless, noise-free, and full of energy!
Don't even consider Hounds Of Love.The Dreaming stands as Kate Bush's finest work yet.
