I bought a 2021 clear reissue and was really let down, so I sold it. Then I found this copy, and it blew my expectations out of the water! It's staying in my collection forever. A++++++

I've been enjoying a pristine copy of this very Australian version, and the meticulous attention given to the album's mix is evident. It's a pity that the album's legendary reputation doesn't always highlight its exceptional sound quality. Those subtle electric guitar licks that emerge and recede in the mix, the harmonies that leap out, the acoustic layers, the percussion nuances - they all contribute to the joy of listening to fantastic songs from a band that gelled musically, even if not always personally.
I've got the variant 2 edition of this album, and it's absolutely stunning. The sound stage is immense, with a wonderful seperation between the different parts of the music. The highs are crisp and clear, while the lows are deep and rich. I've got nothing bad to say about it! Grab it if you come across it!
Four stars, why? 'Cause in the 45rpm version, they could've FINALLY included ‘Silver Springs’. That would've been a solid 5 stars!
