This is an amazing record! It's easily one of the greatest live albums out there, and after having the CD for so many years, I can honestly say that this vinyl version sounds way, way better to me. Chris Bellman did an incredible job mastering it, and this concert has never sounded this fantastic before! The vinyl is perfectly flat, completely silent, super clean (thanks to the poly sleeves) and absolutely flawless. A definite must-have for any Mac fan!
The audio quality is decent. However, I'm baffled as to why the publisher put out such a subpar version; no album sleeves, details, lyrics, you name it. It's a really poor release.
This live album is absolutely among my top favorites, but I first experienced it in 44/16 (CD quality). I believe a few reviewers have a point about the mastering, perhaps it's a low DSD master at best, but definitely not from the original tapes. Honestly, I find that the Qobuz 44/16 version actually sounds superior. And hey, no gatefold? Come on! An album like this from these artists deserves a gatefold and some quality inserts.
Fantastic record quality, wide open soundstage and bass that hits hard yet stays in check. What else could you possibly want in a live album? Funny enough, it's one of my all-time favorite live performances captured on disc.
The vinyl version sounds super punchy and full of energy! It's way better then the CD.
