  • Ultimate Masterpiece Worth Cost

    5 out of 5 stars
    TntibjNovember 16, 2025United States🇺🇸

This is going to be the ultimate master and pressing of this album. I've heard the indie version uses the same lathe. It's dynamic, perfect in every way, and absolutely worth the cost.

  • Sturgill's Outstanding Country Debut

    5 out of 5 stars
    buqakulaceOctober 7, 2025United States🇺🇸

I wholeheartedly concur with BlackCircleVinyl's assessment. In my opinion, this album has it all. Ryan Smith's work is truly outstanding. The instrumentation and vocals are spot on, and the rhythm section is rock solid. It's an incredible debut for Sturgill, released way back 12 years ago. Funny enough, I wasn't too familiar with him or his music until quite recently. As a huge music enthusiast, I've always been drawn to exceptional country music. This album is a fantastic example of country music with an outlaw edge and a contemporary sophistication. I'm puzzled as to why Sturgill felt the need to change the band's name to "Johnny Blue Skies and the Dark Clouds". I suppose I'm just an old fuddy-duddy. Hee! Hee! You can't go wrong by adding this masterpiece to your collection.

  • Disappointing Hiss-Filled Record

    2 out of 5 stars
    NOLepxobJune 25, 2025United States🇺🇸

Let down by this record. The pressing is subpar and there's a lot of hiss.

  • Ultimate High Top Mountain Edition

    5 out of 5 stars
    pomatwejf50February 8, 2025United States🇺🇸

I purchased this edition expecting it to surpass my 2013 version, which, to be honest, doesn't even compare to streaming the album on Spotify or playing it on a CD. This 10th anniversary edition is, without a doubt, the ultimate way to experience this album. High Top Mountain is among my all-time favorite country albums, and I'm thrilled to finally own a copy that sounds this incredible.

  • Poor Quality, No Download Code

    1 out of 5 stars
    YezbJqeyy33May 29, 2024United States🇺🇸

The quality of my copy is terrible. There's a ton of noise, even after I cleaned it. It might be a CD rip. Plus, there's no download code.
