Came across this at a nearby store and was curious if it was worth it and if I should give it a shot. I pondered over it for a couple of days, but by then, the records were gone. Can someone confirm if Bernie Grundman handled the lacquer cutting for this one? I noticed the 'BG' in the deadwax, and there's a test press mentioning he mastered it. I'm just wondering why it's not stated here.

Honestly, I'd never come across this CD before today... lol not terrible, I'm actually digging it. I kinda stopped paying attention after Dave left, but then I noticed he's the one singing on this, so I figured I'd give it a listen..... Just grabbed my own copy. I picked this up for 70 bucks, thinking I'd hit the jackpot (forgetting that the official release was 2LPs), but when I opened it and saw a Women and Children sleeve with a review of Van Halen III, I quickly realized I'd been duped. What a letdown! I put the needle down expecting it to sound terrible, and it pretty much does! The sound is flat and muddy with a bass that's way too compressed, making it a not-so-great listen. I can only compare it to the CD, but yeah, skip this one unless you can snag it for cheap just to have it on vinyl!
