Audio and visuals are top-notch on these 2x blue vinyl discs. My pressing sports 'Made in GB' on the rear shrink wrap and lacks a front hype sticker.
Absolutely fantastic sound quality with an incredible dynamic range! It's way better than any of the previous CD versions (the original and the 2011 remaster-- though I haven't heard the vinyl from that one). My only gripe is how they split up the sides. I guess the folks handling these reissues don't care much about it, but there's definitely a correct way and an incorrect way to do it. This is the latter. They should've skipped the awfully outdated remixes on side 4 and just divided the original 10 tracks like this: 2+2+3+3. The sides should be (preferably at 45RPM):A1: ZooropaA2: BabyfaceB1: NumbB2: LemonC1: Stay (Faraway So Close)C2: Daddy’s Gonna Pay For Your Crashed CarC3: Some Days Are Better Than OthersD1: The First TimeD2: Dirty DayD3: The WandererDamnit.
I must say, I'm somewhat let down by the audio quality of this blue edition (Manufactured in Germany). It all seems a bit dull and lifeless. Has anyone else noticed this?
My copy is perfect, but I'd love it if Discogs could share some stats about who owns this and where it was pressed. How many are out there? 50 or 5,000? And was it made in the U.K. or somewhere else? This is info the Community ought to have access to!
