I'm really happy with this new release. The audio quality is fantastic, with excellent separation, powerful bass, and a well-balanced mix. The vinyl record is nice and quiet, with a clear sound.
This pressing is pretty affordable, it sounds great, with good instrument separation. I'm not really into the other records in this collection but I'm happy with the quality of the pressing and the sound of Two Sevens Clash. It's a classic Roots Reggae album!
Rest in peace Joseph Hill, the frontman of this most righteous Roots Reggae band. 'Classic' is a term often thrown around too freely. Yet, at least within the realm of Roots Reggae, there's no debate about this album. The production and engineering prowess of Errol Thompson and Joe Gibbs shine, thanks to the amazing songs crafted by Joseph Hill and his team. Rasta Gospel sounds and powerful, uplifting rhythms fill this album. If you're a fan of roots reggae, you've got to own it. Truth be told, every music enthusiast should track this one down.
An absolute must-have reggae classic, easily ranking among the finest albums ever put out. This vinyl version blows my old Shanachie CD out of the water...it's like everything's more alive and full here, especially the bass. My copy's in near flawless condition, the record's super clean and quiet, and the artwork's just as pristine. A true gem of a record.
Countless people consider this the greatest reggae album of all time. And I wholeheartedly concur! Without a doubt, this is my favorite band's finest work. Each track is packed with incredible energy and brimming with soul. The rhythms, the themes, the vocals—Culture consistently delivered powerful albums for three decades. They dominated the '80s just as much as the '70s. Perhaps they were still finding their unique sound in their second decade, but they touched hearts, minds, and bodies. Even in the '90s and early 2000s, they kept creating magic. But revisiting Two Sevens Clash is like exploring a whole new world. It's the only reggae album to make Rolling Stone's Top 100 coolest records ever. Joseph Hill, you are deeply missed!
