My record's color is a nice purple / lavender shade. I can't compare it to the original, but it sounds pretty decent to me. I've got a couple of the first Culture pressings, and this one sounds quite alike. I do think it could benefit from a remaster, though.
Starting with 'Behold' (as quoted above), this album is a collection of classic roots tracks that'll make you think. While TWO SEVENS CLASH is often seen as Culture's peak, this one's my top pick. The harmonies are spot on, the lyrics pack a punch, and the production is top-notch. This UK version sounds fantastic, the bass is rich and natural, there's great clarity, and the soundstage is wide and immersive...just love how it plays on vinyl. My copy's in great condition, no hiss or pops to be heard.
Fantastic album. Awful sound quality on this re-release. Give it a miss!
Timeless roots vibes, Culture jamming with Sly and Robbie, and Errol Thompson handling the controls. Sounds absolutely delicious, this pressing.
Awful re-release. I was shocked to hear the windows notification sounds that the manufacturer forgot to remove. The audio is clearly squashed. Might as well just stream some low-quality files. Save your money and skip this one.
