Oh my god, I must've been out of the loop in '96, I've got most of Lou's stuff even from the '90s, can't believe I missed this one! I took a chance since I haven't had much luck with RSD records, but wow, this is flawless - clean, quiet, flat, no issues at all. It even came in a nice poly-lined black sleeve. And man, this album is amazing, I totally agree, one of Lou's best works, just as it says on the liner notes - 'Play It Loud'. Turn it up and enjoy!
Without a doubt, this Lou Reed album is among my all-time favorites. The sound quality is fantastic and really brings the music to life. Truly a top-notch experience overall!
I'm a bit let down by this. The first record was flawless, but the second one's got what feels like a hundred scratches on both sides. It's not affecting the sound, thankfully, but it looks like it's been tossed around the pressing plant a bunch of times. With the first one being so perfect, it's a bit of a bummer.
Lou Reed's one of his finest. He gives me this indescribable comfort, you know?
Incredible mastering, crisp separation and expansive soundstage. That guitar, WOW, so raw. Like being at a live concert. Rock on!
