The sound quality on this album is fantastic, the recording is top-notch. I wish they'd used the inner sleeve pics for the album cover instead.
UK residents seeking a budget-friendly copy ought to consider this one. In my opinion, it boasts crystal clear sound quality, even surpassing the newer remastered vinyl editions. I've noticed that many of my affordable 1980s vinyl purchases outshine later pressings, yet they're often overlooked in favor of so-called remastered new releases with more attractive packaging...
I'm really into the main song, it would've been great to have a couple more tracks with that chill vibe on the album. That said, it's a solid collection of tunes. Lou's pretty much at his best here, even if a few songs don't stick with you.
In my humble opinion, this is one of his greatest albums. We miss you, Lou, rest in peace.
The vinyl's a bit on the thin side, I suppose that was the norm for Aussie pressings back then. But it still sounds alright. The highs aren't too messed up, and the bass is pretty good. I did notice at least one skip on my copy, but hey, what can you do?
