Packaging was completely faulty, just like others have said. But the tunes are awesome.
Absolutely incredible, one of the greatest. 💙 stunning album. UNBELIEVABLE when they're at their peak.
I endured the movie at the theatre when it first came out. Way better than the film mix. Completely distinct and awesome sound. Had to give my copy an ultrasonic bath and let it air dry before playing. Got rid of the static pops & clicks. Crank it up, it’s 2 track stereo, meant to be blasted loud.
After some time, I decided to purchase one of these once the price became more reasonable. I'm so glad I did. My copy is absolutely fantastic, with none of the problems others have mentioned. The sound quality is simply breathtaking. Even the spaces between tracks are completely silent! This is exactly the kind of music that high-end audio equipment was designed for. It's the perfect album to get completely immersed in.
Sound quality and mastering are absolutely perfect, but the packaging is a disaster. First off, both CDs were glued shut in the sleeve, and even after prying them out, the edges were coated in sticky residue. Plus, the booklet has nowhere to stay in the packaging—it just slides out when you open the gatefold sleeve. Absolute trash. At least the music (after scrubbing the glue off the discs) is incredible.
