The record I received appeared brand new and pristine. Even after giving it a thorough cleaning, there's still some occasional hiss, but the music itself sounds fantastic. It's incredibly warm and full of life. I've got a West German CD version of this album too, but I'm really digging the sound on this German vinyl pressing much more.
Vangelis has crafted a true masterpiece here. If you're a fan of the Blade Runner soundtrack, you'll likely appreciate this album. 'Rêve' and 'Chromatique' stand out to me as exceptional tracks. 'Rêve,' in particular, evokes the spirit of Nightmares on Wax, while the album as a whole carries echoes of Tangerine Dream and Air.
