Once again, Spike Lee has outdone himself with this sequel to his fantastic 'Bad 25' documentary DVD. This NEW documentary ABOUT Michael Jackson's 1979 legendary 'Off The Wall' album is AMAZING. The paper digipak packaging is alright, but I'd prefer a sturdy jewel case (like 'Bad 25') for better durability & protection. The included remastered 'Off The Wall' CD is in a slim, vibrant sleeve. It's a basic disc with just the original 10 album tracks, no demos, rare tracks, interviews or bonus tracks from the recording sessions that are on the 2001 Special Edition of 'Off The Wall'. It's a shame Jackson's Estate missed the mark and didn't put out a Super Deluxe 'Off The Wall 40 Box Set'. The DVD here is a must-own. 5 stars!
Great quality, no pops or skips. It sounds fantastic and silky smooth.
This release is absolutely amazing, and it's great that it includes every single mix from the original songs, just like it should.
Fantastic pressing: perfectly flat and silent. I'm glad I managed to find a NM copy. B. Grundman did an amazing job. He even admitted that it's even better than Thriller...
Truthfully, the audio quality is out of this world. It's warm and impactful. Feels like I'm experiencing the album for the very first time. The bass on Stevie's incredible track "I can't help it" is so rich that it goes right to your heart and soul.
