I like the tunes but I'm not a fan of colored records! The quality is never that great, there's always somethin' wrong with the disc!
This album feels like a desperate, midlife crisis in musical form, where the band has seemingly sold out their integrity and talent for commercial success and accolades. What's even more frustrating and disrespectful is that the last song on the album proves they're still capable of greatness. They just chose to fill the rest of the tracks with what they thought would sell, clearly prioritizing streams and sales over quality. I won't be buying a physical copy of this mess.
I sent this one back. Not too much musically for my taste. The coloratura is good, but the rest... Not so much. Plus, this is a really bad pressing. The worst "new" vinyl I've bought in the past two years. There's constant noise and pops. They should've focused more on the pressing and production rather than all the visual stuff. The packaging is nice, but you can't listen to that.
Bloody brilliant sounding vinyl, Coldplay have always shone brighter on analogue and this one's no exception.
Songs that fade from memory fast, tailored for the radio, with a commercial vibe that gets airplay for a while then vanishes, never to be heard on the airwaves again.
